Ron Saylor was raised in Colorado until age 17 when he joined the United States Navy. Ron became an Orange City resident in 1966 after marrying an Orange City girl. He is the father of three children, daughters Lynnette of Deltona, Melanie of DeLand and son Jeff in Ohio. Ron has nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He retired as a U.S. Naval Air veteran of the Cold War and Viet Nam. Ron is a member of several veterans’ groups and has been involved in Orange City Little League and Boy Scouts.

 Mr. Saylor was educated by the U.S. Armed Forces Institute, Old Dominion University, and the University of Northwest Florida.

 Ron served on the Orange City Code Board. He has been in frequent attendance at City Council meetings over the years.
