2011 MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS UPDATE

ELECTION RESULTS


The Orange City municipal General election was held on Tuesday, September 13, 2011. Click here for the official results. As no candidate received a majority of votes in the three-way Mayor’s race, Tom Laputka and Harley Strickland will appear on the ballot on November 8, 2011 for a run-off election. Council Member Tom Abraham won the District 3 Council Member race and will be serving a second four-year term on the Council.


Council Member Abraham and the winner in the Mayor’s race will take office in November along with Ron Saylor and Michael Wright who were elected unopposed to Districts One and Two respectively.

 

Please be sure to cast your vote for Mayor on November 8th!


Absentee ballots for the November 8th election can be obtained from the Supervisor of Elections office by calling 386/736-5930.

The polls will be open on election day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Precincts 303 and 309.

Voting locations are: Precinct 303: John Knox Village Activity Center
                               Precinct 309: Orange City Dickinson Memorial Library
