The Criminal Investigation Division of the Police Department is comprised of a Detective and a Detective Sergeant.

These two detectives are responsible for investigating all unsolved crimes within the city limits. These crimes can range from a simple theft to homicide. The detectives also require a tremendous amount of knowledge, skill, and training in the performance of their duties.

In addition to their duties as detectives, they are also responsible for the handling and security of all evidence.
