Law Enforcement Exploring offers young men and women who have completed the 8th grade and are 14 years old, or are 15 years old but not yet 21 years old the opportunity to experience the role, duties and responsibilities of a future career in law enforcement.

Law Enforcement Exploring educates and involves youth in police operations and to spark interest in a future law enforcement career and to build mutual understanding. The education aspect provides knowledge of the law enforcement function in their community. Through involvement, the Explorer program establishes an awareness of the complexities of police services.

Some areas of experiences include, but not limited to:

  • Patrol (Ride-Along)
  • Investigation
  • Forensics
  • Special Events

Active members are permitted to participate in the Explorer Ride Along Program.  Each rider must complete a Hold Harmless Agreement for each ride along.  Each form must be signed by a parent or legal guardian for explorers under 18 years of age.
