The two suspects seen in these stills endeavored to take some $30,000.00 from an elderly Deltona resident during the mid morning hours of 4/10/08. The suspects met the victim at the Orange City Publix Supermarket. They told him that they won a lottery drawing, but were not citizens therefore they needed someone to pay the tax. They
advised him that they would give him $50,000 later, if he would pay the $30,000.00 in taxes. The couple went with the victim in his car to several area banks and he began taking out funds. At the Banco Popular, the female went inside the bank with the victim. Tellers there became alerted by the females actions and the large amount of money requested. The female noticed the tellers suspicion and fled the area. The victim did not give any funds to the scammers.
